The ActiV C4416 fire detector works by measuring infrared radiation through a photodiode. In the absence of smoke, the light bypasses the photodiode. When smoke particles enter the optical chamber, scattering the infrared light ray in different directions, some of them will be directed at the receiver, triggering an alarm.
Features of the ActiV C4416 detector:
• high quality
• dirt compensation
• double activation indicator
• wide operating voltage range
• blocking the detector in the socket
